THE NEW NOYO RIVER GRILL
The best dining room view on the Mendocino Coast
A dream come true was when the former Cliff House Restaurant opened as the Noyo River Grill.
Diners can enjoy the lofty view of the Noyo River flowing into the bay and Pacific Ocean
from the spacious glass solarium dining room and upstairs long bar. From “up top”
diners are entertained by fishing boats, coast guard cutters, big sea lions swimming
in the river below and a sky full of birds.
Sunset dinners are especially meaningful and the fierce winter storms only increase your appetite for more.
Chef Guillermo Medina and his brothers Gabriel and Eric focus on healthy foods, having
been at Cafe One (a health food restaurant) before they opened the grill. The menu
consists of starters (oysters on the half shell or coconut fried prawns - YUM!), homemade soups
or chowder and salads (the cole slaw is devin), homemade tacos (fish, shrimp, chicken or veggie),
entrees, wine, beer and dessert (mom’s flan, lemon cheesecake or chocolate mousse). I highly
recommend the exceptional spinach salad with Mandarin oranges, beets and walnuts with a bowl
of their original clam chowder, garlic bread and butter. Delicious meals range from $15 - $45.
Entrees include rock cod picacata, Noyo rib eye steak, the Noyo burger and NRG Cioppino.
The Noyo River Grill with it's Full Bar and panoramic views make it a truly inspirational
setting for that important meeting or important question. It is truly one of the best
dining exeriences on the northern California Coast.
