A CALISTOGA ENCHANTED COTTAGE - REBECCA'S

Created by photographer-artist Rebecca Sheppard, this serene and secluded bed and breakfast is tucked into the lush green wooded hillside at the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains at the northern tip of Napa Valley, town of Calistoga. From Rebecca's it is but a 5 minute stroll down tree lined streets to Calistoga's world famous spas and restaurants. The cottage is surrounded by forest, ferns and fieldstone walls built in the1840s by Chinese workers. Winter rains bring life to the creek which cascades beneath the cottage and your bedroom, making sleep and dreams most peaceful. In this enchanting forested setting song birds serenade during the day, squirrels play in the treetops, and deer russle the forest leaves on the hillside above the cottage; at night, a stroll back home after dinner, a while by an outdoor or indoor fireplace, the hoot of owls, bring a authentic connection to nature. Rebecca loves owls.

A fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, living room and private bath with claw foot tub and shower make the cottage a self contained environment. The queen size feather bed sits next to a wall of antique glass windows that look out into the forest from the bedside. In the main house is "The Sweet" with private sitting porch, private entrance, living room with fieldstone fireplace and private bath with tub and shower. For more guests, two other rooms share a bath. A delicious picnic basket breakfast is delivered doorside in the morning lending further privacy to your stay.
